If you've never participated in a boat parade or navigated at night, ABCHH has got you covered! We offer:

Practice "dry runs" of the parade route with experienced Captain’s at NIGHT

Free Decorating and light installation workshops

Volunteers to assist with nighttime docking

Complimentary overnight dockage - Safe Harbor Skull Creek Marina
Join our fleet of decked out boats! Free Overnight Docking provided by our sponsor, Safe Harbor-Skull Creek Marina. Set-up can begin at 11:00 am at the Safe Harbor Marina.

Parade Guidelines
For the safety of all and to ensure that captains and their crew understand and agree that participation in the Boat Parade is voluntary and at their own risk, boat owners/captains will be required to sign a Participation Agreement.
​

Overall vessel length must be 18 feet or greater and must be able to cruise at 5 knots.

All Captains will be required to attend this MANDATORY meeting since safety is our primary concern. This is also an opportunity to clarify your questions, so we recommend that one crew member also attend.
​
At the meeting you will:

be assigned your boat number with instructions for displaying it,
-
receive details about the route and safety precautions,
-
learn more about judging and awards
-
receive slip assignments should you wish to dock overnight
​
Judging will be based on these AWARD CATEGORIES:

Best in Show

Best in Ornamentation
-
Best Dressed Crew
-
Best Use of Lights and Music
Knowing about the categories in advance may help your planning and design since the more categories you cover, the better chance you have of winning!
